TCBP around the world
The Traveling Collimated Bean Projector is a device aiming at measuring the telescope throughputs, with angtrom-level precision in wavelength. It has travelled around the world to calibrate the photometry of large photometric survey telescopes.

TCBP facing the LSST telescope (April to July 2026).

TCBP facing the Rubin Auxiliary Telescope, whose role is to measure local atmospheric transmission (April to July 2026).

TCBP facing the ZTF telescope at Palomar Observatory (May to June 2025).
MonoDICE around the world
MonoDICE is the light source of the TCBP. Installed far away of a telescope, it looks like a monochromatic point source.

The MonoDICE light source installed in the window of T152 building at Obervatoire de Haute Provence (March 2026).

The StarDICE telescope pointing at MonoDICE (white building in background).

To measure the throughput of the Rubin Auxiliary telescope, MonoDICE was installed at the level of the Gemini Observatory, 1.1km away.
Rubin Observatory
I travelled several times to Rubin Observatory to work on the photometric calibration of the LSST survey. Sunset at Cerro Pachon is always a magic moment.

Holographic adventure
We developped an holographic disperser, with focusing properties to transform any current telescope into a slitless spectrophotometer. This hologram was first tested at CTIO Observatory to measure atmospheric transmission along the line of soght (June 2017).
